Alvys has launched Foundry, an agentic AI platform embedded in its freight TMS that lets carriers and brokers deploy 20+ pre-built agent templates — covering detention processing, document handling, rate audits, and track-and-trace — without leaving their existing operating system.

Freight software provider Alvys is adding AI agents directly to its transportation management system with the launch of Alvys Foundry. The platform ships with more than 20 pre-built agent templates covering core freight operations: a Detention Agent files detention automatically when time is exceeded, Document Intelligence reads and files rate confirmations and bills of lading, and a Track & Trace Agent handles check calls and shipment updates. Carriers can also build custom agents by uploading an existing standard operating procedure or describing a task in plain language — Foundry then generates a workflow for human approval before deployment. Agents can be tested against simulated freight data before going live. What differentiates Foundry from generic AI tools, according to CEO Nick Darman, is context: the platform runs on top of Alvys' existing TMS infrastructure, which includes 120+ integrations and EDI connections with hundreds of shippers. This gives agents access to lane history, customer rules, margins, and exception data from day one. The source gives limited detail on pricing or enterprise tier availability.
