Details

Anthropic has launched Claude for Teachers, providing free premium Claude access to verified K-12 educators in the US. The product is built around a connector to Learning Commons, which gives Claude access to academic standards across all 50 states and the sub-competencies beneath each standard — enabling lesson plans scaffolded to actual standards. At launch, Claude for Teachers integrates with 10 EdTech platforms: ASSISTments for standards-aligned math problems, Brisk Teaching for interactive activities, Canva Education for lesson-to-design conversion, Coteach for K-12 math diagrams, Diffit for differentiated materials, Eedi for diagnostic questions in English and Spanish, MagicSchool for classroom-ready content, Snorkl for class progress insights, and TeachFX for instructional feedback from classroom recordings. The product is built on evidence that AI tools for teachers — rather than students — more reliably improve outcomes. Teaching skills were co-developed with Learning Commons and evaluated for rigor. Access requires educator verification; the program currently covers US K-12 only.
