Tata Consultancy Services, with over 600,000 employees globally, is becoming one of Anthropic's largest distribution partners through a deal covering both internal deployment and third-party client products. The 50,000-employee internal rollout spans engineering, finance, legal, marketing, and sales, with TCS treating itself as 'customer zero' to refine its client offerings before scaling them externally.\n\nOn the product side, TCS is packaging Claude into industry-specific vertical offerings: claims processing for insurers, lending advisory for banks, and assessment systems through TCS iON, which conducts 75 million assessments annually across 1,500 Indian cities. Diligenta — TCS's UK life and pensions subsidiary serving 22 million policyholders — will use Claude to improve customer experience at scale.\n\nTCS engineering teams are also contributing to the Claude Code ecosystem, building reusable skills and plugins for claims adjudication and lending advisory — extending platform capability for the broader partner network. The deal is structured through the Claude Partner Network, with TCS building a dedicated practice comprising consultants, engineers, and industry specialists to design and run Claude-based systems for clients.\n\nThe partnership's regulated-industry focus reflects a growing pattern: large systems integrators acting as compliance-cleared intermediaries that can bring Claude into environments where direct procurement is difficult.
